RevalonMD Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how RevalonMD LLC uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on revalonmd.com. Our cookies do not collect Protected Health Information (PHI) — your clinical and billing data is governed by a separate signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Effective: June 10, 2026. Last reviewed: June 2026by RevalonMD Compliance & HIPAA Office.

Effective date: June 10, 2026. This Cookie Policy applies to revalonmd.com (the “Site”), operated by RevalonMD LLC, a Wyoming LLC. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which governs all personal information we collect from website visitors and prospective clients. For your rights and obligations when using this Site, see our Terms of Service. For information about how we protect patient data under HIPAA, see our security and compliance overview.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device — your computer, tablet, or phone — when you visit it. Cookies serve several purposes: they enable core site functions like secure page navigation and form submissions, they allow the site to remember your preferences between visits, and they help site operators understand how their content is being used in aggregate.

RevalonMD uses cookies for two narrow purposes: to make the Site work correctly (strictly necessary cookies) and to measure aggregate, anonymized traffic so we can improve our content for billing professionals, practice managers, and healthcare administrators (analytics cookies). We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking.

Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by a different domain are third-party cookies. RevalonMD uses first-party cookies only — we do not use or allow third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this Site.

There are two types of cookies by duration. Session cookies are temporary: they are deleted from your device when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time (usually months) unless you delete them first. RevalonMD uses both types; the duration of each is listed in the table in Section 3 below.

Similar technologies — including local storage, pixels, and web beacons — can also be used to collect information from your browser. Unless stated otherwise, the term “cookies” in this policy refers to all such technologies. RevalonMD does not use advertising pixels or behavioral web beacons on this Site.

Do RevalonMD’s Cookies Store Protected Health Information (PHI)?

No. RevalonMD’s cookies do not capture, store, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI). Your clinical and billing data is governed by a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) — a separate, HIPAA-required contract — not by website cookies. Website visitor analytics are anonymized and never linked to patient records, claim data, or any individually identifiable health information.

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Office for Civil Rights has published guidance on the use of online tracking technologies by HIPAA-covered entities and their business associates. RevalonMD’s site analytics are configured to remain outside the scope of PHI as defined in 45 CFR § 160.103. For the current HHS guidance, see HHS OCR online tracking guidance.

To learn how RevalonMD protects patient data under HIPAA and executes BAAs, see our HIPAA compliance and BAA overview.

We review the cookies deployed on this Site at least annually. If we add a new cookie category, we will update this policy with an updated effective date before the new cookies are set.

What Third-Party Cookies and Tools Does RevalonMD Use?

RevalonMD uses first-party cookies only. We do not embed social-media sharing buttons, advertising networks, or third-party retargeting scripts on this Site. One infrastructure exception applies: our hosting provider (Vercel) may set strictly necessary cookies for load-balancing and performance optimization. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information and cannot be disabled without preventing basic site functionality.

The following table lists all third-party services that may set or access cookies on this Site:

If we add any new third-party tool that sets cookies, we will update this table and the effective date of this policy before deploying that tool. If we ever add advertising cookies or EU-user consent-required cookies, we will implement a compliant consent management platform (CMP) before those cookies are set.

How Do I Manage or Opt Out of Cookies?

Because RevalonMD uses only first-party cookies, standard browser controls are the primary mechanism for managing your cookie preferences. You have three options: block specific cookie categories, delete all cookies after your visit, or use a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts. None of these actions will prevent you from accessing any content on revalonmd.com.

Browser Controls

All major browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent some Site features from working correctly; blocking optional Analytics or Functional cookies will not. Below are direct links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

For a general guide to managing cookies across devices and browsers, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) publishes helpful guidance at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.

Opting Out of Analytics

Because our analytics platform does not use cross-site tracking or link analytics data to your identity, standard browser cookie controls are sufficient to opt out. Disabling cookies in your browser settings will prevent any optional analytics cookies from being set on revalonmd.com. You may also use browser extensions that block analytics scripts site-wide. Neither action will limit your access to any content on this Site.

Do Not Track

Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you prefer not to be tracked. Because no accepted technical standard for interpreting DNT signals currently exists, revalonmd.com does not respond differently to DNT requests. However, our baseline tracking practices are already minimal: we use no behavioral tracking, no advertising pixels, and no cross-site profiling regardless of your DNT setting.

Your Privacy Rights Under CCPA and GDPR

Depending on where you are located, you may have specific legal rights regarding the personal information collected through this Site, including via cookies.
