RevalonMD Accessibility Statement | WCAG 2.1 Level AA

Effective: June 2026  |  Last reviewed: June 2026by RevalonMD Compliance & HIPAA Office

RevalonMD LLC is committed to ensuring revalonmd.com is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. This page describes our conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, our regulatory obligations under HHS Section 504 and the ADA, and how to contact our compliance team if you encounter a barrier.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

RevalonMD LLC is committed to ensuring revalonmd.com is accessible to users of all abilities. We target conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) on June 5, 2018 — and we review this statement annually to reflect changes to our website and to applicable regulations.

The same compliance infrastructure that governs our HIPAA operations extends to digital accessibility. Accessible web design is not a separate initiative for RevalonMD — it is part of operating a responsible, security- and compliance-focused service for U.S. healthcare providers.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA Conformance Standard

RevalonMD targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) on June 5, 2018. We aim to make revalonmd.com Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust for all users, including those using assistive technologies.

WCAG defines three conformance levels: A (minimum), AA (standard — the level required by law), and AAA (enhanced). Level AA is the target for all legal and regulatory requirements including HHS Section 504, ADA Title II, and the EU Web Accessibility Directive. Our conformance status is Substantially Conformant: revalonmd.com meets the majority of Level AA success criteria, with limited exceptions in third-party embedded components (documented under Known Limitations below).

Regulatory Basis: HHS Section 504 and ADA

Healthcare entities that receive federal financial assistance — including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements — must conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA under the HHS Section 504 Final Rule, which took effect July 8, 2024. The extended compliance deadline for organizations with 15 or more employees is May 11, 2027; for fewer than 15 employees, May 10, 2028.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III, courts have consistently treated WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the de facto standard for private business websites. No final DOJ rule for Title III web accessibility has been issued as of June 2026, but the standard of care remains WCAG 2.1 AA. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act applies to federal contractors and agencies and also references WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

POUR Principles: How We Apply Accessibility

WCAG 2.1 is organized around four POUR principles. RevalonMD applies each across revalonmd.com:

  • Perceivable — All non-text content carries alternative text; color contrast meets the 4.5:1 ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text (WCAG 2.1 SC 1.4.3); content does not rely on color alone to convey meaning.
  • Operable — All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable; focus order is logical and visible; no content flashes more than three times per second; skip-navigation links are present.
  • Understandable — Language is declared in HTML (lang="en-US"); error messages identify the field and suggest correction; forms have visible, associated labels.
  • Robust — Semantic HTML5 and ARIA landmarks are used throughout; markup is validated to reduce parsing failures; content works with current assistive technologies listed in the compatibility section below.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

revalonmd.com is tested with the following assistive technologies. WCAG 2.1 AA does not mandate a specific technology stack, but requires compatibility with “current user agents and assistive technologies” (WCAG 2.1 §4.1.1). These combinations represent the primary screen-reader environments used by people with disabilities in the U.S. as of 2026.

Known Limitations

Despite targeting full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, some third-party embedded components — including scheduling widgets and third-party chat interfaces — may not yet meet every Level AA success criterion. We are actively working with those vendors to remediate these gaps. Where a fully conformant alternative is not yet available, we provide an accessible alternative through our feedback path below. If you encounter a specific barrier, please contact us so we can assist you directly.

Note on VPATs: This accessibility statement is a public-facing declaration for end users — it is not a VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template). VPATs are formal conformance reports used in enterprise and government procurement. If your organization requires a VPAT for procurement purposes, please contact support@revalonmd.com.

Who stands behind this page

Methodology: This accessibility statement was produced by reviewing the W3C WCAG 2.1 standard (2018), the HHS Section 504 Final Rule (July 2024) and its May 2026 deadline extension, and by auditing revalonmd.com against the RevalonMD Design System Reference (v2.0, 2026-06-10), which implements WCAG 2.1 AA color contrast, keyboard navigation, semantic HTML, and ARIA landmark requirements. Assistive technology testing used the four combinations documented above. The reviewer, RevalonMD Leadership & Editorial Review, confirmed that the conformance claim is honest, the regulatory dates are verified, and the 2-business-day feedback SLA is operationally honored.
