Why RevalonMD

Why Work at RevalonMD?

RevalonMD’s service promise to clients is built on one principle: every person working a claim, coding an encounter, or enrolling a provider must hold the credentials that prove they can do the work accurately.

Certification-First Culture (AAPC & AHIMA Required)

All clinical roles at RevalonMD require an active credential from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) — such as the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) — or from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) — such as the Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). This is a hiring requirement, not a preferred qualification.

The reason is direct: clients rely on RevalonMD for claim accuracy and compliance across 50+ medical specialties. That standard requires certified expertise at every position, not generalists trained on the job. According to the AAPC’s 2026 Salary Report, certified coders earn 20.7% more than non-certified peers — RevalonMD hires them because they produce better outcomes, not because certification is a box to check. RevalonMD actively supports CE credit maintenance to keep every credential current.

Remote-First Across All 50 States

RevalonMD’s 50-state operational coverage is not possible with an office-bound team. Remote-first is a structural necessity, not a perk. According to the AAPC’s 2026 Salary Report, 80.2% of medical records specialists now work partly or fully remotely — RevalonMD’s operating model matches where the profession is. All remote staff work within HIPAA-compliant, secure access systems. RevalonMD signs a Business Associate Agreement with every client before any data is handled — the same compliance culture extends to how employee data and system access are managed internally.

Mission-Driven Work in 50+ Medical Specialties

A billing specialist or coder at a single-specialty clinic bills the same CPT families repeatedly. At RevalonMD, the same role spans cardiology, oncology, behavioral health, orthopedics, gastroenterology, and more than 45 additional disciplines — building transferable expertise and career capital that a single-specialty role cannot match. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 9% employment growth for medical records specialists through 2033, much faster than average, with approximately 14,200–15,000 job openings per year. RevalonMD is structured to grow with that demand.

That certification requirement maps directly to the roles RevalonMD hires — each aligned to one of our eight revenue cycle service areas.
